SG       Stanley Gibbons Catalogue.
ASC    Australian Stamp Catalogue No. (Seven Seas Stamps).
ASCS  Brusden White Australian Commonwealth Specialist Catalogue.
Mi       Michel (German) Catalogue.
BF       Barefoot (Revenue) Catalogue.
“a” numbers . . . . Recognised variations in perf  or colour, etc from original printing

Gum Conditions:
MUH      Mint Unhinged
MNH      Mint Never Hinged….The latter is US terminology
MLH       Mint Lightly Hinged
MH         Hinge remainder is more prominant

Quality:
Mint       Is always hinged. “Mint ”only designates that there is gum on the stamp
Unused. A stamp with no cancellation, looks mint but has no gum
FU          Fine Used
Used     More prominent cancel

CTO       Cancelled to Order

WMK    Watermarked

No WMK. The stamp issued without a WMK

O/P        Overprinted

IMP        Imperforated

Perf        Perforated
